I'm Cody Barton
I was born in a small town in Iowa where my dad sold tractors. As a kid, I was amazed by the giant machinery and hardy farmers who could fix almost anything. I was fascinated to learn how it all worked, and curious what I could build myself someday.
We moved across the country many times for my dad’s career, introducing me to diverse people, places, and cultures along the way. While all this broadened my perspective, the values from our farming roots stuck with me: hard work, tenacity, and the importance of honest people to rely on.
With these values at heart, I founded Barton Agency to help great business leaders plant better seeds for bigger yields. Our goal is to deliver institutional-quality marketing that positions your team to close bigger deals faster than ever before.

Growing up as the first generation with economic mobility provided access to a great education, the chance to travel, and abundant career choices–but every reward comes with its challenges.
For our family, the challenge was leaving what we knew behind to pursue opportunity. Over my life, I have pulled people out of a pigsty and enjoyed cocktails on top of the Kennedy Center, and I learned to be adaptable and spot what different audiences are listening for.
Connecting with people from all walks of life also taught me the power of enthusiasm and positive thinking. Now, I channel that energy into work that I love – getting to know great clients and helping them reach greater success than ever before.
